A Mural, a Movement, and Five Questions
From The Grace Trail
September 2026 | Find Your Footing
A mural, a movement, and new ways to walk.

Elementary school students moving up to middle school created this legacy mural with Grace Trail running right through the heart of the mural. Grace Trail has become a part of their language and their school culture. They will carry a new language of resilience with them into their lives.
From Anne
National Grace Trail Month may have ended in May, but I've only recently had the chance to catch my breath—and I'm happy to report that I did not keel over from exhaustion.
I'm still standing. Still walking. And more grateful and hopeful than ever.
Over the past few weeks, I've found myself thinking less about the events themselves and more about the people: the conversations, the quiet moments, and the courage it takes to keep moving forward when life feels uncertain.
Grace Trail showed up in schools, parks, hospitals, nature centers, workplaces, farms, communities—and in quiet personal walks that no one else may ever know about.
Let's take a walk together.
GRATITUDE
What am I grateful for?
I'm grateful for the people who care enough to make their corner of the world a little more hopeful.
Over the past few months, I've met so many people who care deeply about the well being of others. Teachers who want their students to have a place to reflect. Healthcare teams looking for new ways to support healing. Community leaders who want people to feel more connected. Volunteers who simply believe that small moments of reflection can change someone's day.
Gratitude has a way of reminding us that the biggest movements are built through countless small steps towards courage and honesty.
RELEASE
What do I need to Release?
I'm learning to release my overachieving urges and recognize when enough is enough!
Some gatherings were large. Others were quiet. A few even changed because of the rain. But I've realized that none of those things determined what mattered most. Every honest conversation, every shared reflection, and every step taken together was enough.

One of the greatest gifts of Grace Trail is seeing the ripple effect long after the walk is over. It was a joy to celebrate Chris, his new book, and the journey that brought us to this moment. We're grateful he shared how Grace Trail became part of his story with the Plymouth Independent.
"The trail helped me keep it together. It's so simple but so powerful." — Chris Carazas
Accept
What do I need to Accept?
I'm accepting that grace gets messy in the middle, and I'm constantly reminded that life is hard.

I'm reminded that each step has led us here, and that's something worth celebrating.

Challenge
What is my next Challenge?
My challenge is making sure the five Grace Trail questions reach people wherever they are—not just where a trail has been built.
I'm really proud to share this new creation with you! Yes—you can teach an old dog new tricks!
Me and Chat put this experience together. Give it a try, and let me know how it felt to walk the Grace Trail from the comfort of your home, office, or wherever you are.

The five questions were never meant to stay in one place. In a world that moves so quickly, we all need moments to step out of the rush and make space for what matters most.
Embrace
What can I Embrace as possible?
I embrace the possibility that five questions will change how the world moves through hard things.
This fall, the first permanent Grace Trail at a federal VA campus will open. For me, this is not simply an installation. It is a return. What once felt impossible is now on the map. I can only imagine where this path may lead. Dream big. Keep walking. The path has a way of appearing.
Years ago, I walked into the VA searching for help for my son during one of the hardest seasons of our family’s life.
Today, Grace Trail is returning with something shaped by that struggle: a permanent place where Veterans, families, staff, and visitors can begin to find their footing forward.

Looking Ahead...
The world feels chaotic, and I believe people are ready for simple, human ways to find their footing, build reslience, and reconnect with hope. Grace Trail questions are finding their way to the people and places that need them most.

The Grace Trail continues to gain momentum across the U.S. and around the world.

At the Heart of Grace Trail
Our Licensees
Every Grace Trail begins with people who choose to make hope visible in their communities.

At the heart of Grace Trail are our licensees, whose dedication, creativity, and care keep the questions alive through walks, events, and programs in their communities.
As our licensee community grows, so does the strength of what we are building together. To every person who walks, shares, gathers others, or simply carries one of these questions into their life—thank you.
You are the ripples.
With gratitude and a smile,
